Harwood got on the board first in the early minutes of the first quarter, the goal was called back due to too many players on the field at the time. Lyndon got the next goal and take a 1-0 lead with a goal by Riley Bora.

Harwood had several strong runs up the field with some solid shots on Emily Goodell in net, but it wasn't until the fourth quarter when the Highlanders tied up the game with a goal by Sam McDonough, assisted by Jane Schaefer.

"Camille Edgcomb in net for Harwood had a great game, even coming up against a penalty stroke when the ball was trapped under her in a frenzy of players in the goal crease. Edgcomb blocked the shot to keep Harwood in the 1-1 game, and finished with 14 saves,” head coach Katie Martin said.

Headed into 7 vs 7 overtime Harwood had some great penalty corners, but was unsuccessful in putting one in the back of the net.

"We had a good game, it's unfortunate that we didn't catch the extra player in time," said Martin. "We really had some great efforts by our midfield and forwards; we still need to focus our energy on scoring."

JUNIOR VARSITY

Harwood junior varsity won 1-0 over St. Johnsbury Academy, the lone goal came from Azalea Eagan.
