Camp Meade in Middlesex, VT, celebrates eight years of its Concerts on the Green series this summer, inviting the community to enjoy free live music, local food and drink, and a community gathering space.
Concerts on the Green take place on Friday and Saturday evenings with a featured live performer every week. It’s a family-friendly event with folks encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and kids to enjoy food, music, and community. Handmade pizzas by Red Hen Baking and Woodbelly are cooked on-site in a wood-fired oven, while The Local sells beer and wine alongside Mamma Jengi’s prepared picnic packs and a rotating lineup of additional local vendors.
Camp Meade has recently expanded these gatherings to include a community of artists whose studios line the Green. ONE Arts Studio provides child care and art projects for all ages, while the Planetary Art Institute, ELM Harris Jewelry Studio, Lightner Glass, and Kurt Budliger Photography Gallery offer artwork and classes that build creativity and connection through the arts.
