The Vermont Playwrights Circle presents TenFest, a 10-minute play festival featuring plays written by Vermont authors. This year's theme of "Discovery" unearthed some fun plays. Those in attendance will laugh, cry, and get excited! Producers report that it's a cathartic night of engagement and community. There will be an author's reception the second Saturday of the festival – on August 23. Stay after the show and enjoy some refreshments while rubbing elbows with the artists.
Many Valley locals are involved this year: actors Sarah McDougal, Andra Kissler, Bobbi Rood, David Ehrlich, Howard Levin, Abigail Mellen, Deborah Feldman, Susan Bauchner, playwright, Kris Korman, and directors RuthAnn Pattee and Sarah McDougal.
There will be eight performances, Thursday, August 14, through Sunday, August 24. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 7 p.m., Sundays 2 p.m. Valley Players Theater, 4254 Main Street (Route 100), Waitsfield.
Tickets are $14 general admission, $12 seniors and students. To make a reservation, call 802-583-1674. To buy tickets online go to the show go to www.vtplays.com, and click on the tickets link. The Valley Players accept cash, checks, and credit cards at the door as well.
