Scouting America’s Green Mountain Council honored Eric Haskin, president and CEO of Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom, with the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award at a ceremony June 10 in Waitsfield. This award celebrates Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated leadership, professional achievement and service to their communities while upholding Scouting values.
Haskin was recognized for leadership in expanding broadband access across Vermont and his ongoing commitment to community development and youth initiatives. His career reflects the principles of integrity, service and leadership instilled through Scouting, making a difference in both the telecommunications industry and the local community.

Eric has consistently done the right thing, for the right reasons without seeking acclaim and his impact on our community is undeniable.”
“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said Haskin. “The lessons I learned as a Scout have guided me throughout my life and career, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to give back to the local community where I grew up.”
