Sugarbush is revamping its Community Day bringing in new events while keeping old favorites. The day is getting moved to Sunday, October 12. The resort hosts Oktoberfest on October 11.
“The goal specifically for Community Day is to shift the focus of the event to be more of a celebration of our community: the people and organizations that make this such a vibrant place,” said resort spokesperson John Bleh in a blog post.
Sugarbush will be hosting artisans and food purveyors from the Waitsfield Farmers Market that day and has invited a number of local partners to be on hand with tables and also offer activities relevant to their field.
Sprinkled throughout this will be food, drink, live music, and activities such as lift rides, pumpkin carving, and axe throwing. Resort CEO John Hammond will give a state of the resort speech in the afternoon where folks can hear what’s new this season and ask any questions they might have heading into the winter.
