In an ongoing effort to support mental health in the salon, the community, statewide and nationally, Michelle Kelaher from Afterglow on Main attended American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s 2025 Advocacy Forum. Kelaher was nominated and chosen as one of three to represent Vermont’s AFSP chapter.
During June 22-25, advocates from across the nation held scheduled meetings with representatives to educate them on specific bills and ongoing initiatives that are relative to suicide prevention. Kelaher held three meetings. Collectively, the 236 advocates held 278 congressional meetings.
