Ninety-six paintings were selected from the entries submitted by artists from across North America. “The paintings selected for the 2025 exhibition illustrate the diverse range of subjects pictured by today’s watercolor artists. Plus, in 2025 the Valley Artists Guild is bringing a new twist to the exhibition,” noted Gary Eckhart, curator. In addition to showing paintings by some of the most well-respected American artists painting today, the exhibition will be highlighting 30 additional juried paintings by artists of the Vermont Watercolor Society in “Renewal,” a show within a show.

Thomas Bucci, Camden, Maine, is judging the show and presenting 18 artists with monetary and merchandise awards. All the award-winning paintings are on display.

Returning to the Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition for a fifth showing is the display of paintings by the Whiskey Painters of America. The miniature watercolors no larger than 20 square inches are sought-after by collectors for their unique character.

“With the only showing of Whiskey Paintings in New England and the Vermont Watercolor Society’s summer show “Renewal,” the public is being treated to three shows in one location,” reported Gail Curtin, assistant curator.
