Documentary filmmaker Allie Rood, Waitsfield, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise the final funds needed to complete her debut feature documentary, “Prickly Mountain: My Design/Build Life.” The film is slated to premiere at the Architecture & Design Film Festival in NYC this October and has also been unofficially invited to additional international festivals.
She will be hosting a special local screening plus filmmaker Q&A on Sunday, June 8, at the Big Picture Theater. It starts with cocktails at the bar at 6:30 p.m. followed by a screening of a film clip at 7:30 p.m. and a Q and A. An after party follows. There is a suggested donation at the door.
