Mad River Path welcomes its first AmeriCorps staff member. Emily Richards will be joining the Mad River Path at the end of May and will work through the summer, maintaining the trails, teaching summer adventure camps, and assisting with the Active Transportation Corridor. Richards has a degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from UC San Diego, and is currently conducting research into prion diseases. She will be starting an MS in Epidemiology this fall. She was born in Montreal, Canada, and has lived in a few different states and countries since.
