I was deeply saddened today when I read that Pat Clark had passed away. I spent eleven years with her on the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service. I remember one time responding Code 3 (lights and siren) to a call, I was driving and Pat was crew chief. As we passed Hap’s, the vehicle in front of us would not yield, and I exclaimed horse manure! Pat’s response was “don’t say that!” due to her and Dave’s love of horses and the associated need to keep their stalls clean. It became a joke between us as time went by. I always knew the patient and crew were in the best of hands when Pat was Crew Chief. God bless you Mad River 7.
