Things to do and see in and around The Valley

These five authors participated in When Words Count’s Pitch Week held for the first time in Warren at the West Hill Bed and Breakfast last week. The authors pitched themselves and their books to guests and professional judges after a gourmet luncheon. The authors are, from the left, Stacey Wilder, Dr. Bernadette Anderson, Ani Tuzman, Ce O’Flaherty and Eileen Donovan. The judges awarded first place and a publishing contract to Donovan for her book “A Lady Newspaperman’s Dilemma.”
