  • 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp dry milk
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cups peanuts, chopped
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Mix dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time to the creamed butter, beating well after each egg. In a small bowl, mix together the vanilla, dry milk powder, and water. Add this to the butter/egg mixture, then add the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined. Add chocolate chips, peanuts and sunflower seeds and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake for approximately 8-10 minutes. Take them out when they are just barely starting to turn brown. Let them sit on the baking pan for 5 minutes before removing to the cooling rack.

Enjoy and give a loving nod to Sis.
